Since 2020 I have increasingly begun to focus on lakes, particularly secret and forgotten ones, in a project entitled, ‘Secret Waters’. These spaces are often overlooked and yet they are places of abundant peace. These images will give you a sense of deep calm, and they serve to highlight the plight of these precious, abundant resources that are so often overlooked. As a child I borrowed my mother’s Yashica SLR. So began a love affair with photography and my mother never got her camera back! I started out at Time Magazine in Paris in 1998. Returning to London, I started working for The Independent, The Telegraph, Tatler and Harper’s Bazaar and various other publications as a writer and later as a photographer. I was lucky to work with leading photographers and study with Central St Martins. I’ve been working as a writer since 1998 and as a photographer since 2001. Recently, I became a broadcaster as well!
